A whiteboard is a block in the document, not a separate app. Diagrams, sketches, and annotations live where the lesson is.
Adding one
Type /excalidraw in the editor — draw and sketch work too. The board appears inline,
showing its content at a glance. Open it to draw, close it to keep reading.
Drawing together
Everyone editing the document shares the same board. Strokes appear as they are drawn, and you see who is drawing where — cursors carry names.
The full Excalidraw toolset is there: shapes, arrows, freehand, text, images you drop in, and your own libraries.
Who can draw
Whoever can edit the document. Students watch by default, and draw as soon as you enable student editing on that section — which makes a whiteboard a good place for group work.
Where it is stored
The board is part of the document. It syncs and saves like the rest of it, and it travels with the course when the course is reused elsewhere.
