Notes

A note is a student's own writing, attached under a paragraph of the course. It is private: the teacher does not see it, and neither do their classmates.

Taking a note

Hover a paragraph and press Add a personal note, or type /note in the editor. A note block opens right under the passage it belongs to, and you write in it like anywhere else — text, lists, formulas.

Notes save themselves as you type.

Finding them again

The notes panel lists every note in the document and jumps to any of them in one click.

When the course changes underneath

Teachers keep editing. A note remembers the passage it was attached to, so DTeach can tell you when that passage moved on:

• Changed — the teacher edited the paragraph your note sits under. The note points it out; dismiss the warning once you have read the new version.
• Orphan — the paragraph is gone. The note is kept and listed separately in the panel, so nothing you wrote is ever lost.

A note is for you. A question is for your teacher. Same gesture, different audience — pick the one that matches what you need.
