Use DTeach in Moodle
Connect DTeach to Moodle and open courses straight from your Moodle site.
Moodle stays the source of truth. Teachers, students, classes, and enrolments do not move. DTeach is installed once as an LTI 1.3 tool, then added as an activity wherever you want a collaborative course.
You do not need a DTeach organization for this. Accounts are created on the fly, from Moodle.
What the connection gives you
- One URL to install. You create a registration URL in DTeach and paste it into Moodle. Moodle and DTeach exchange keys and endpoints on their own — nothing to copy by hand.
- No second login. People who open a DTeach activity are signed in automatically. No password to create, no invitation to send.
- Roles come from Moodle. Instructors, teaching assistants, and content developers can edit the course. Everyone else opens it as a student.
- Names stay in sync. Renaming the activity in Moodle renames the DTeach course.
- Moodle owns the roster. Members and course availability are driven by Moodle, so they cannot be edited from the DTeach side.
Before you start
- Administrator rights on Moodle — installing a tool is a site-wide operation.
- A DTeach account. Sign in, then open Connections from your user menu.
Three steps
- Create a registration URL in DTeach, one per Moodle site you connect.
- Paste it into Moodle as a dynamic registration URL.
- Add DTeach activities in the courses that need one.

Each connected Moodle site runs on a plan. When it expires, activities stop opening and everyone sees an error instead of the course. Email us from the Connections page to move to a paid plan — we invoice by bank transfer.
